A.S.Pushkin\ А.С. Пушкин. "Я К ВАМ ЛЕЧУ ВОСПОМИНАНЬЕМ..." (+spellista)

Alexandr Sergeevich Pusjkin, 1799-1837, Russias greatest national poet and formulator of her literary language who, despite his admiration for the verse comedies pioneered the historical, romantic, pre-realistic drama in opposition to the prevailing French neoclassical model. His dramatic output, while not large and somewhat diffuse, is ambitious, novel and experimental, progressive and even revolutionary technically and ideologically. He drew upon contemporary parlance, literary sources and native folklore to forge a purposely hybrid Russian literary  language  suitable to comic and tragic scenes and character-specific for individuals of every class and profession.
His inspiration was Shakespeare whom he read in translations and criticisms of A.W.Schlegel.
(A.W. Schlegel was the companion of Mme de Staël, when she visited,  in Exile, Russia and Sweden. The Swedish Crown Prince Charles Jean engaged Schlegel for a time to be his personal secretary.)

I do not  understand Russian. But, I am enchanted by the soft voice of the narrator and by the animations. I love the operas inspired by his work: Jevgenij Onegin, (Eugen Onegin)  Boris Godunov, Ruslan and Ludmila, Pikovaja dama (Spader Dam), Mozart and Salieri, et cetera.
It is remarkable that hi died young – killed in a duel.
